Lostock College has become a Heart Safe School thanks to the donation of a Gold Defibrillator Package from Hand on Heart Charity as part of their Trafford Mayoral Campaign.
Hand on Heart Charity has teamed up with Councillor Dylan Butt to help make Trafford become a Heart Safe community. To achieve this, the council will ensure there is a defibrillator in the 50+ hot spots across the area of Trafford; whilst the council puts this in place, Hand on Heart will donate a defibrillator package to every High School in Trafford which isn’t already equipped with the life-saving equipment to ensure they’re learning in a Heart Safe environment.
The package Hand on Heart are donating is their most popular package – it equips the school with not only a life-saving defibrillator, but a rescue kit, wall bracket and AED locator sign and much more. In addition to this the charity will also provide AED training for 8 members of staff and Basic Life Support training to 30 pupils!
Lostock College is thrilled to have received the free defibrillator and look forward to educating their students in the important of a healthy heart and how life skills can save lives.
