Following the very successful awards evening and in particular the defibrillator pledging to fund schools with life saving equipment during the evenings activities, we are delighted to announce that the first school to support has received their defibrillator.
On Monday 18th November, staff and pupils at St John’s Primary school in Mexborugh were delighted to accept their defibrillator package from Lyndsey Westcott, UK PAD Manager at Zoll and Hand on Hearts Training Development Coordinator Emma Short.
The school commented via their Twitter page “We are extremely pleased that Zoll and Hand on Heart have kindly chosen our school to benefit from having an Automated External Defibrillator on site- thank you! Whilst we hope to never use the equipment it could prove to be vital in helping to save life.”
Emma commented ” I am delighted that we can support these schools and offer life saving skills to pupils making them our futures life savers, with statistics showing us that 12 young people will lose their lives every week from having a cardiac arrest, making schools heart safe environment is so important”.
Our sincere thanks to Zoll for their support and generosity in funding the schools defibrillator.
