Mary Hare School in Berkshire is now Heart Safe thanks to having a life-saving defibrillator on site at the school!

Mary Hare School for Deaf Children received an AED fully funded by Hand on Heart charity whose aims are to raise awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) and to equip schools with the only definitive treatment of this – a life-saving defibrillator.

A defibrillator, when used within 3-5 minutes of an SCA can increase a casualty’s chance of survival from 6% to an astonishing 74% when delivered with CPR, a skill which is taught to both students and staff through Hand on Heart’s AED package.

We’d like to send a big congratulations to the school on becoming a Heart Safe environment!
