Keeping Yorkshire Communities Heart Safe

Leeds Bradford Airport staff got into in gear on Thursday 2 May to raise funds to place defibrillators in Yorkshire schools and sports clubs through Hand on Heart Charity. Their aim was to cycle 150 miles  at the airport (on exercise bikes) as the Tour De Yorkshire Stage one gets underway on the same day. Amazing the cyclists in support to Hand on Heart peddled over 300 miles in the arrivals terminal as passengers and families supported their efforts by making donations.

David Wilson, Trustee of the charity said “I am delighted to be involved in this campaign and would like to thank everyone involved as we really will be making a difference to our local communities with these life-saving pieces of equipment with the funds we raise”
